great book
I am a big fan. nuff said
I started reading the destroyer just before going to Vietnam in 1973. Packed him thru all the jungle's and anything warren Murphy writes is the best.
I hate that I have to do a review of each book. It seems kind of pointless because if you like the series, then you are going to end up buying the books, one or more at a time, so that you can enjoy reading through the entire line of books.
Escapism at its finest. I read a bunch of Destroyer books years ago and then just sort of lost track of Murphy's stuff. Chiun and Remo rock! These books are not for the faint-of-heart. Lots of really stylized death and destruction - that's why Remo is the Destroyer.
I started reading this series in 73 or so, it never let me down. I reread the 40-50 of these I have hung onto every few years.
Classic Destroyer, Murphy & Sapir at top of their game. Bonus Remo demos parkour before the world knows what it was.
Buy it. Read it. Read it again.
